Description

2018 will mark the 29th year of an event that has shaped our understanding of the human brain in profound, enduring ways - the Annual Meeting of the American Neuropsychiatric Association. The Annual Meeting is not only a chance to network with hundreds of like-minded clinician scientists, but also an opportunity to lend your voice, share your ideas, and raise new questions about brain-behavior relationships.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Explain the neuroanatomy and neurocircuitry of language in the brain.
2. Explain the brain basis of the interface between language and emotion.
3. Review typical neuropsychiatric syndromes resulting from damage of these neural circuits.
4. Describe three evidence based rehabilitation strategies used in neuropsychiatric disorders.
5. Identify research advances and limitations of neuroimaging in schizophrenia and in traumatic brain injury.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for Behavioral Neurologists, Neuropsychiatrists, Neuropsychologists, Psychologists, Neuroscientists, Residents, Medical Students, and other Allied Health Care Professionals.
