Description

This course will address topics of interest in 2018 for practicing OBGYNs. The course content will be divided between obstetrics and gynecology specialties with contributions from general gynecology and the subspecialty areas of reproductive endocrinology and infertility, gynecologic oncology, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and maternal-fetal medicine.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Recognize the most current strategies used to triage adnexal masses in women.
2. Evaluate laparoscopic complications and how to avoid them.
3. Employ algorithms and checklists of managing critical obstetric emergencies such as post-partum hemorrhage, amniotic fluid embolism and severe hypertension.
4. Discuss with patients' key elements of contemporary infertility care including the role of elective single embryo transfer and preimplantation genetic screening.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for Obstetrics and Gynecology Physicians, Nurses and Nurse Practitioners, and Midwives.
